Resilient Infrastructure

In response to the ever-increasing impacts from rising sea levels and storm surge, our engineers have developed specific experience preparing construction plans for the protection of roads and bridges from those forces.  The designs we prepared for the Vinyl Sheet Pile Wall for the Restoration of A1A Project (post Hurricane Mathew) in Indian River County, Florida will protect the roadway from future similar events.  In Miami-Dade County, Florida, our design engineers increased the resiliency of the Venetian Causeway Bridge by providing solutions that improved the structure’s capacity to withstand horizontal and vertical forces, associated with rising sea levels and storm surge.  Our Team of engineers have experience in providing cost-effective designs that raise the grades of existing roads and bridges to reduce the impacts of storm surge and rising sea levels, which we accomplished for the City of Ft. Lauderdale on the South Ocean Drive Bridge Project.
